Manager, Gas Supply One Gas - 3.7 Overland Park, KS Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Manages supply and demand planning, volumes calculations, record keeping, scheduling, and allocations of gas into and out of the pipeline and distribution systems, ensuring customers' needs are met. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervise employees and/or perform the following activities including but not limited to: Nomination/scheduling/allocation of gas contracts Transportation and pipeline capacity release activity Develop, implement, and execute annual gas supply plan(s) Administer and monitor daily demand forecasts Identification of gas volumes to purchase/sell Identification of market opportunities Volumes calculation and record keeping Gas cost hedging activities Negotiate terms and conditions of North American Energy Standards Board and other wellhead contracts. Evaluate and recommend procedural changes and company policies designed to decrease gas purchase and transportation costs and reduce volatility. Monitor state and federal rules and regulations related to purchase and transportation of gas, and make recommendations for relevant changes. Develop appropriate business policies to comply with state and federal legislation and regulation. Analyze, research, read, and/or interpret the following information including but not limited to: Pipeline transportation tariffs State and federal rules, regulations, and regulatory orders Gas purchase/sale agreements Exchange agreements Nomination forms Wellhead gas purchase contracts and related information Company tariffs Compile, prepare, process, and/or approve the following including but not limited to: Demand and market forecasts Contracts, confirmations, amendments and corrections Exchange agreements Operational balancing agreements Economic analyses on as-available gas, capacity release, gas purchase/sales agreements, and imbalance settlements Gas supply process and activities manual Financial transactions and derivatives activities Internal and external correspondence Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, accounting or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and additional work experience. Experience In addition to education, this role typically calls for eight to ten years of relevant experience. (Minimum of seven years' relevant experience is required). Typical experience usually includes two years in a leadership role. Experience with and thorough knowledge of company gas purchasing, gas contracts, and gas supply operations. Experience with the application of math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods. Demonstrated ability to and standard PC computer applications such as Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
