Job Description
Daniels Health is looking for a dependable, hands-on Plant Operator to join our medical waste treatment facility in Gastonia, NC . If you enjoy staying active, working with a supportive team, and taking on a variety of tasks throughout your shift, this could be the role for you. As a Plant Operator , you'll play an important role in helping healthcare facilities safely manage medical waste. From operating specialized equipment to ensuring accurate documentation and safe processing procedures, every day brings something different.

Receive, weigh, and process incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers Operate our autoclave system for medical waste treatment Load and operate our Washsmart container sanitization system Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment following training as needed Routinely lift containers weighing up to 55 lbs. Push loaded carts weighing up to 200 lbs. Spend the majority of your shift standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving materials throughout the facility Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate processing records Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures Collaborate with a hardworking team to keep operations running smoothly What are we looking for? Someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and is comfortable in a fast-paced industrial environment Experience in physically demanding roles such as warehouse, manufacturing, construction, landscaping, shipping/receiving, sanitation, or similar environments preferred (not required) Ability to repeatedly lift, move, and transport materials throughout an entire shift Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. regularly and safely push carts weighing up to 200 lbs. Comfortable standing and being active for the duration of an 8+ hour shift Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Reliable attendance and a proven track record of dependability Why work for us? - This position is offering a SET (non-negotiable) rate of $18.50/hr \n $18.50
