Job Description
The City of Defiance is seeking motivated and dependable applicants for the position of Water Distribution Equipment Operator. This position helps maintain the City's water infrastructure, streets and will operate a variety of heavy and light equipment, including bulldozers, street sweepers and backhoes. Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and at least one year of equipment operating experience. A State of Ohio Class B CDL is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $23.22 - $24.44 per hour with a full benefits package including health, vision & dental insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and enrollment in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
