Job Description
The Dry Plant Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting dry plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. This position works with equipment such as dryers, crushers, screens, conveyors, elevators, pumps, and baghouses while monitoring plant conditions and making operational adjustments as needed. The Dry Plant Operator also assists with equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting and maintenance, housekeeping, and other activities necessary to meet production, safety, and quality goals. A good understanding of plant operations and a strong commitment to safe work practices are essential for success in this role. High school diploma or GED. Good understanding of plant operations. Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks as needed. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout all seasons. Ability to climb multiple levels using stairs and ladders and work from elevated platforms. Ability to safely use common hand tools, including shovels, hammers, wrenches, and similar equipment. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
