Printing Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Printing Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the production process by preparing, operating, and maintaining various printing equipment, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of print technologies, color management, and prepress operations, contributing to efficient workflows and exceptional product quality. Responsibilities Assist in setting up and operating printing machinery, including flexo presses and CNC equipment, to produce high-quality printed materials. Support prepress activities such as layout design, typography adjustments, and color management to ensure accurate reproduction of designs. Maintain and calibrate printing equipment regularly to optimize performance and prevent downtime. Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies. Collaborate with graphic designers using Adobe Creative Suite to prepare files for print advertising and other marketing materials. Assist with machining tasks related to print production components and ensure proper handling of materials using forklifts when necessary. Monitor manufacturing processes for adherence to safety standards and operational procedures. Support troubleshooting efforts for technical issues related to screen printing, flexo presses, or CNC machinery. Maintain detailed records of production runs, material usage, and quality inspections for reporting purposes. Experience Prior experience in a manufacturing environment involving print production is preferred. Familiarity with screen printing techniques, prepress processes, and color management principles. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Knowledge of print technologies including flexo presses and CNC machining is advantageous. Understanding of typography, layout design, and print advertising standards. Experience operating machinery such as forklifts and familiarity with quality control procedures. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a focus on precision and safety.
