Pipeline Full Job Description Location:

Primarily local; occasional overnight possible Reports to: Field/Operations Supervisor The role Operate our RapidView/IBAK mainline inspection camera system to perform CCTV recording and inspection of sanitary and storm sewer pipelines in accordance with NASSCO reporting standards. You will capture high‑quality video, identify defects, and generate

compliant reports to support asset management, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), maintenance, and rehabilitation endeavors. This role combines technical proficiency, some manual labor, and adherence to safety protocols under the guidance Project Managers and Superintendents. What you'll do

• Equipment setup & operation: Prepare manhole access, deploy cameras, and operate the IBAK crawler/camera system for mainline inspections (as well as laterals/manholes/lift stations/cleanouts as assigned).
• Meet

NASSCO PACP/LACP/MACP

quality guidelines for camera centering, travel speed, lighting, and visibility; coordinate with cleaning/flow control crews as needed to ensure full‑circumference visibility.

• Record and code observations such as pipeline features, condition, and deficiencies per

PACP/MACP/LACP

; compile NASSCO exchange database deliverables with snapshots, header data, and video exports.

Documentation:

Accurately record segment IDs, footage lengths, distances, and inspection metadata for each line serviced; maintain complete daily logs.

• Crew leadership: Train and mentor laborers assigned to the crew; promote skill development, quality, and safety awareness.
• Tool & equipment management: Ensure proper use of hoses, attachments, and tools; perform routine cleaning and care of the camera system, reels, and accessories.
• Safety compliance: Identify and mitigate potential hazards (traffic, electrical, atmospheric, and environmental risks); ensure all crew members follow company/site safety protocols.
• Emergency response: Safely shut down operations and secure the site in the event of an emergency or unsafe condition.
• Inventory & preparation: Stock necessary tools, supplies, and consumables for daily tasks; verify readiness of spares and PPE.
• Cross‑training: Participate in cross‑training for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems to support operational flexibility.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervision. What you'll bring
• Certification (Required): Current

• NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP

• certifications (maintain active status/recertification).
• Recertification can be reimbursed.

Experience:

1+ year hands‑on sanitary/storm sewer CCTV inspection with mainline camera systems.

• Familiarity with Wincan CCTV Software and RapidView/IBAK camera systems, and components.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical:

Proficiency with robotic crawlers, camera heads, cable reels, and

database/reporting workflows (NASSCO exchange format).

• Current and Valid State Issued Driver's License (CDL Preferred).
• Comfort driving and operating larger trucks/panel vans (F-450).
• Safety & physical: Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand/walk for prolonged periods, and work outdoors in all weather; commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Communication & leadership: Clear field communication and the ability to mentor crew members; basic recordkeeping/data entry skills. Nice to have
• Class B CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements.
• OSHA‑10.
• First Aid/CPR/AED.
• Base knowledge of

SUE/ASCE 38

‑22 quality levels and utility designation practices.

• General knowledge of ESRI suite of products (Field Maps, ArcGIS Pro, Survey 123, etc.)
• Experience operating and maintaining pipeline sewer cleaner/jetting equipment. Pay & benefits

Pay:

$33-$40 per hour + Overtime.
