Full Job Description Job Title:

Digital Press Operator Position Overview CDigital, a leading producer of digital heat transfers used for product decoration, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Digital Press Operator . In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our three Xeikon digital presses to print high-quality images onto polyester film. The ideal candidate will have strong technical printing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining precise quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Press Operation:

Set up, calibrate, and operate Xeikon digital roll-fed presses according to job specifications and internal work orders.

Job Management:

Retrieve press-ready art files and electronic work orders from the internal management system, ensuring correct alignment with customer requirements.

Quality Control:

Continuously monitor print quality during production runs for color accuracy, registration, ink density, and mechanical defects on the polyester film.

Material Handling:

Load substrates (polyester film) and replenish consumables (toner/ink, parts) efficiently to minimize press downtime.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on the Xeikon presses. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or software errors as they arise.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate production logs, tracking material usage, waste, run times, and job completions within the internal management system.

Safety & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pressroom work environment adhering to company safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating digital printing presses (experience with Xeikon digital presses or web-fed/roll-fed digital systems is highly preferred).

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of digital print workflows, color management, and substrate handling (specifically films or plastics).

Mechanical Aptitude:

Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical equipment issues. Attention to

Exceptional visual acuity for color matching and identifying minor print defects.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and handle large rolls of film.

Computer Skills:
