Job Description

The Reading Royals production team is looking for a Wireless Camera Operator to join our Game Presentation team for the upcoming season. This isn't a "stand in one spot and point a camera" job. We're looking for someone who is quick on their feet, comfortable walking on ice, creative, funny, and willing to try things that haven't been done before. You'll operate our only wireless camera throughout Royals home games, capturing the fans, players, atmosphere, and spontaneous moments that make a night at the rink fun! You'll be an important part of what fans see on the videoboard. This is a paid game day position. Payment is $70/a game. A meal is provided most home games. Applicants must be local.
Responsibilities:
You'll be moving throughout the arena during games, finding interesting people and moments, interacting with fans, and helping create the spontaneous, entertaining content that highlights how fun going to a Royals game is. We want someone who sees the camera as a tool for entertainment, not just documentation. Able to operate a handheld wireless camera while staying aware of your surroundings Creative and willing to experiment with new ideas Comfortable interacting with fans and becoming part of the entertainment Understands that the goal isn't just to get good shots - it's to help fans have a great time Reliable, energetic, and able to work in a fast-paced live environment Previous camera experience is preferred, but personality and creativity matter just as much
Skills/Qualifications:
