D Printing Technician Location:
Stafford, Texas Employment Type:
Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Monday-Friday, eight-hour shifts

Occasional travel to customer locations and trade shows may be required Position Overview Raise3D Technologies is seeking a skilled and customer-focused 3D Printing Technician to join our Technical Support team in Stafford, Texas. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, integrity, and a genuine interest in 3D printing. The technician will support customers throughout the product lifecycle by diagnosing technical issues, repairing and maintaining industrial-grade 3D printers, and providing remote and on-site customer training. Duties and Responsibilities Provide professional remote and on-site technical support for Raise3D industrial-grade 3D printers. Take ownership of customer issues from initial contact through resolution, providing timely updates and an excellent overall customer experience. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, material, and print-quality issues and provide effective solutions. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 3D printers and related equipment. Diagnose and repair customer-returned printers and document the work performed. Provide on-site and remote training to educators, business professionals, resellers, distributors, and other customers regarding printer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Troubleshoot printing issues involving different materials, applications, and operating conditions. Support product testing, product-improvement activities, troubleshooting-protocol development, and the documentation of recurring technical issues. Maintain accurate service records, customer communications, repair notes, and technical reports in the company's designated systems. Meet established service standards, including response time, first-contact resolution, documentation quality, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the Shipping Department to expedite replacement parts, repair shipments, customer-support orders, and returned equipment. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and other internal teams to resolve customer issues. Support company trade shows, demonstrations, training events, and other customer-facing activities as needed. Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members. Follow all company safety procedures and properly handle tools, equipment, and printing materials. Perform other related duties and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability. Strong customer-service skills and a professional, solutions-oriented approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and confident telephone and video-conference communication skills. Ability to diagnose technical problems, identify root causes, and communicate solutions clearly. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations, trade shows, and company events as business needs require, including occasional overnight travel. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for business travel when required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with 3D printing, additive manufacturing, CNC equipment, robotics, electronics, or other technical equipment. Previous technical-support, field-service, equipment-repair, or customer-support experience. Experience with FFF/FDM or SLS 3D-printing technology. Experience reading technical manuals, service documentation, wiring diagrams, or mechanical drawings. Experience using ticketing, CRM, or service-management systems.
