Metal Prep Assistant

Description

• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from laser cutting machines.
• Assist in unloading incoming raw material trucks and storing materials in designated locations.
• Operate general metal prep machinery including:
• Band saw
• Iron worker
• Drill press
• Plasma torch
• Use part drawings as reference to produce parts as needed.
• Assist machine operators with material handling, operator-level maintenance, and daily housekeeping tasks.
• Support production flow by staging, moving, and organizing materials.

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use a measuring tape and work in the metric measurement system.
• Competency in basic shop math.
• Flexibility to handle changing daily job assignments.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trussville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00
• $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
