Job Description
Job Overview STI Metal Fab is a full-service structural steel and miscellaneous metals contractor serving commercial and industrial construction projects. From design and fabrication to installation, we deliver quality steel solutions and are looking for a qualified individual to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a press brake machine to bend and form metal components with precision and efficiency. Your experience in machine operation, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job Interpret blueprints, work orders, and layouts to accurately produce parts. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize production speed and quality while adhering to safety protocols Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment, including tooling inspection and calibration Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks. Additional tasks as assinged by Shop Foreman. Requirements Experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Knowledge of Cinncinati Xform software is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Proficiency in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control purposes Ability to work safely by following all safety standards in production environments and adhering to safety protocol guidelines Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to operate hand tools and forming machines efficiently Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and precision measurement in machining processes
