Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to shape and form metal sheets with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in mechanical blueprint interpretation, CNC programming, and safety standards will ensure high-quality production that meets strict specifications. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine specifications and dimensions. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems for automated bending operations, optimizing efficiency and accuracy. Perform precision measurements using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools to verify part dimensions against specifications. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing standards at all times. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, adjusting settings or tooling as needed to prevent defects or downtime. Collaborate with team members on sheet metal fabrication processes, including welding, forming, and assembly tasks. Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, including familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, and electrical discharge machining is a plus. Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools for quality control. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols during machine operation. Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurement conversions and calculations related to forming processes. Experience with hand tools, tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and welding is advantageous. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members effectively. $25.22 - $30.37 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
