Sheet Metal Press Operator

(Lavonia, GA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Metal Press Operator to set up and operate press machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience adjusting machinery to job specifications, monitoring production quality, and making real-time machine adjustments to ensure efficient and accurate production.

Essential Duties:

Set up press machinery according to job specifications, including installing plates, dies, and molds Adjust machine settings for pressure, speed, temperature, and alignment as required Operate metal press equipment to cut, shape, form, or stamp materials accurately and efficiently Monitor production runs to ensure products meet quality and production standards Perform in-process inspections and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality control Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing instructions Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report maintenance concerns when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures Assist team members and support production needs as required

Requirements/Skills:

Previous experience operating metal press or industrial press machinery preferred Ability to set up machinery and adjust machine settings based on production requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to perform quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges Ability to read and understand work instructions and production documents Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Commitment to workplace safety procedures and guidelines

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
