Press Brake Operator Staffing Inc. - 3.8 Grand Rapids, MI Job Details Full-time $21 - $26 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Staffing Inc is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties Include:
Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Select proper tooling and perform machine setups for various production runs. Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy. Load, position, and unload sheet metal or fabricated parts safely. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections. Maintain production records and complete required documentation. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues. Keep work area clean and organized while following all safety procedures. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a press brake in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical drawings. Experience using precision measuring tools. Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Pay:
