About the Role As a Senior Press Brake Specialist, you will serve as the technical lead for our metal forming department, overseeing CNC operations and guiding a dedicated team to achieve production excellence. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring high-precision output, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Direct daily operations for the press brake department, providing technical guidance and coaching to team members to ensure consistent quality and throughput. Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake machinery, translating complex engineering blueprints into high-quality finished components. Develop and document standardized setup procedures and machine programs to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Perform rigorous first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to maintain strict adherence to customer specifications. Coordinate production workflows by managing tooling requirements, material availability, and scheduling priorities. Champion safety initiatives and 5S workplace organization standards to maintain a secure and efficient production environment. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot process variations and implement effective corrective actions. Qualifications Required Skills Proven expertise in programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brake equipment. Advanced ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency with precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and error prevention. Preferred Skills Extensive background in metal fabrication environments with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience utilizing CAD/CAM software for program development and process design. Familiarity with ERP systems for production tracking and documentation. Formal training or certification in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
