Job Description

Dakota Bodies is now hiring Day, Night, and Weekend Brake Press Operators. New to the Brake Press or a seasoned veteran, we are willing to consider anyone eager enough to learn – as long as you can lift up to 50 pounds!
Starting pay:
$20.00 per hour,
DOE Night Shift Differential:
$2.00 per hour Job Duties And Tasks Sets stops on machine bed, changes die, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes. Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications. Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools. Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal. Inspects workpiece for defects. Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale. Selects and positions flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools. Qualifications Knowledge, Experience, Education Experience preferred but will train. (preferably using an Accurpress Brake
ETS 3000
Control) or complete training at the Watertown, SD facility. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Ability to read blueprints Ability to read a tape measure
