In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining edge trimming equipment to ensure precise finishing of printed materials and packaging products. Your expertise will help us uphold high-quality standards, optimize production efficiency, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with industrial machinery in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the quality and success of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Operate edger machines and converting equipment to trim and finish printed materials according to production specifications. Interpret production documents, including job tickets and work orders, to accurately set up and adjust machinery. Perform dimensional measurements and quality inspections to ensure finished products meet strict quality standards in production. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments on edger and converting machines to maintain optimal operation. Follow safety standards in production, adhering to safety protocol guidelines at all times during machine operation. Manually handle materials such as paper, packaging supplies, and finished products, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are used. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including routine maintenance checks on industrial equipment. Skills Proficiency in operating converting machines, flexo presses, and other industrial equipment related to printing and finishing processes. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively. Experience with manufacturing management practices, including safety standards in production environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately. Basic math skills for measuring dimensions, calculating adjustments, and verifying quantities. Familiarity with prepress processes, printing techniques, and quality standards in production environments. Knowledge of paper packaging, packaging procedures, machining operations, and dimensional measurements necessary for precise finishing tasks.
