We are seeking an experienced Collator & Bindery Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Alpharetta, GA manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional, lead operator, or manufacturing team leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll play a hands-on leadership role, overseeing employees and production activities while ensuring the team meets production, quality, waste, safety, and attendance goals. Responsibilities Lead & Develop Your Team Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to employees on your shift. Monitor employee performance, productivity, quality, attendance, and waste. Provide coaching and corrective action when needed while applying company policies fairly and consistently. Complete employee performance reviews and follow up on development opportunities. Address employee questions and concerns promptly and professionally. Coordinate vacations, absences, and staffing needs to maintain production requirements. Ensure employee time records are accurate and complete. Drive Production & Quality Monitor production workflow and ensure customer delivery commitments are met. Identify potential production issues early and take action to minimize delays. Review production, quality, and waste results and identify opportunities for improvement. Investigate errors and work with employees to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues. Ensure orders are accurately documented and shipped according to schedule. Communicate production concerns and critical information to the Production Manager in a timely manner. Maintain Equipment & a Safe Workplace Ensure equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary. Help minimize downtime by identifying equipment issues before they impact production. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all employees follow established safety rules and procedures. Support employee training and development to improve performance and job satisfaction. Partner Across the Business Communicate proactively with the Production Manager regarding production, staffing, quality, and equipment issues. Ensure sales representatives are notified promptly of potential shipment delays. Assist with developing employee goals, procedures, and process improvements. Work collaboratively with the production team to continuously improve efficiency and customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. Ideal Qualifications Previous experience in business forms manufacturing, printing, press operations, collating, bindery, or a related manufacturing environment. Previous experience as a Lead Person, Lead Operator, or Production Supervisor is strongly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working around manufacturing equipment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees. Ability to read and understand production specifications, measurements, and quality standards. Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to identify product defects, variances, shapes, and color differences. Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with shop-floor systems such as an iPad. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must successfully complete all required training. Must be able to work safely around fast-moving manufacturing equipment. Physical Requirements This is an active manufacturing environment. The position requires the ability to: Stand for extended periods, typically 8-12 hours as needed. Walk, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and move throughout the production area. Lift cartons weighing up to 50 pounds from a maximum height of approximately five feet. Lift five-gallon containers of fluid. Work safely around fast-moving machinery and production equipment. Use various hand tools, gauges, and quality-control equipment.
