$23.20 Hourly Palmer Candy is looking for a 2nd shift Operator at our Hwy 75 facility. 2nd shift will work Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday hours are 4:30 pm- 3:00 am with Friday hours varying from 6 to 10-hour shifts.

This role operates all machines in a safe and efficient way. This Team Member oversees the production line as well as the packaging of confectionery products.Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/ADuties/ Responsibilities:
Ensure that Team Members are producing and packaging fine quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the appropriate specifications outlines by company managers.Required Skills/Abilities:
- Learn to operate all machines in the Repack department safely and efficiently
- Make cases for product whenever possible
- Check product and bags for quality on a regular basis
- Pull full loads to the warehouse with hand jack or power jack
- Keep a count on finished products
- Assist and work alongside others on the line when needed
- Always keep work area and machine clean and clear
- Troubleshoot, solve and fix minor machine problems as they arise
- Train other employees as needed
- Immediately let the Supervisor know when a problem arises with a machine, quality of product or film
- This role requires the ability to verbally communicate proficiently in English to effectively engage with internal teams. Applicant must be proficient in reading and understanding English-language manuals, equipment, instructions, and other documents relevant to the role.
- Regular and timely attendance is required for this job.
- Other duties assigned or required by the supervisor or management team
Education and Experience:
- Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- SAP experience preferred
Skills and Physical Abilities Required:
- Great attention to detail skills
- Good basic math skills (addition, subtraction and simple multiplication and division)
- Ability to lift up to 5
- 36 lbs frequently and occasional team lift up to 72 lbs
- Ability to work/stand on concrete floor 8 to 10 hours per day
