SHIFT AVAILABLE
2nd Shift, 2:20pm - 12:20am Monday through Thursday (40 hours) Overtime is paid after 40 hours; typical OT available is at least one shift per month Key Responsibilities for Finishing Operator include: Setting up, running, and maintaining a finishing equipment in an efficient and timely manner Carefully and thoroughly inspecting completed label material for errors and defects Identifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean improvement/modification Performing work based on instructions and priorities assigned by the supervisor. Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation for assigned tasks Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability of the equipment The ideal Finishing Operator candidate must demonstrate: Attention to detail, effective time management, and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, as well as read a ruler Self-motivation, being able to work with little supervision at times Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities Ability to provide a high level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization Education, Skills, and Experience for
Finishing Operator:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; computer skills/knowledge
Required:
Can perform heavy work, lifting up to 100 pounds, frequent pushing and pulling heavy items, often lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 100 pounds
Required:
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
Required:
Ability and willingness to learn and master new skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with lean manufacturing
