Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. One of the initial points of contact in preparation for the Customer. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic manual machine adjustments and check 1st piece for operation. Start machinery and make minor adjustments when necessary. Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions. Manufacturing a variety of components to support the build process of the final product. Troubleshoot issues and perform basic maintenance. Ability to interpret basic paperwork, build tickets, etc. Perform quality checks throughout machining process to ensure parts are correct for customer satisfaction. Daily reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor. Comply with all safety and health regulations. Clean machinery and maintain daily Housekeeping procedures in the work area. Learn a variety of wood types depending on the department. To advance to Machine Operator 2, must have Machine Operator 1 experience and/or equivalent training skills. Machine Operator 2: Ability to program machines based on technical computer skills. Ability to set up and operate more complex machines. Various machine set ups intermittently throughout the shift. Will be required to operate different machines in the department. Requires more product knowledge. Ability to interpret paperwork to effectively complete job. To advance to Machine Operator 3, must have Operator 1 & 2 experience and/or equivalent training skills. Machine Operator 3: Must be able to set up and operate various machines in the department. Must understand the correct order of steps throughout the machining process. Must have extensive product knowledge of cabinet parts. Must be open to learning as new product is introduced to the plant. Will be required to learn the functionality of the product being produced. Machine Operator 4: Department specific jobs based on extensive knowledge of named job: Sawmill dept.- Sawyer (required to lift up to 100 lbs. throughout shift) Sanding dept.
