Print Shop Manager / Production Supervisor Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Print Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality printed materials using a variety of advanced printing techniques and equipment, with a strong focus on HP printing systems . The ideal candidate possesses a mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. You will collaborate closely with our design team to translate digital files into flawless physical products, ensuring all client specifications and quality standards are met perfectly.

Core Responsibilities Production Excellence:

Produce a wide range of high-quality printed materials utilizing various printing techniques, setups, and finishing equipment.

Collaboration:

Partner with the graphic design team to review proofs, confirm file setups, and ensure that finished materials strictly match client specifications and expectations.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot printing machinery to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and safe operation.

Timeline Management:

Manage workflow efficiently to ensure all print projects are delivered on time, meeting strict deadlines while keeping waste within budget.

Workspace Safety:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area in compliance with safety standards.

Required Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

2+ years of professional experience working in a print shop or a similar high-volume production environment.

Technical Expertise:

Proven proficiency operating and configuring HP printing techniques and equipment (e.g., HP Indigo, HP Latex, or wide-format printers).

Troubleshooting Skills:

A strong mechanical background with a demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix minor equipment issues independently.

Work Style:

Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications Advanced Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Print Management, or a related field.

Software Skills:

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for pre-press verification.

Color Expertise:

Direct experience with color management systems , color profiles, and color matching techniques.

Physical Requirements Strength:

Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs frequently throughout the shift (e.g., paper rolls, ink cartridges, heavy media stock).

Stamina:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for long periods of time on a concrete production floor.
