Job Description

About the Job About Us We are a well-established tea manufacturing company with a proud heritage and a renewed focus on growth and innovation. Under new leadership, we are committed to building on our legacy while embracing fresh ideas and more efficient ways of working. We're looking for a Press Operator to learn the craft of offset printing under the guidance of our experienced press operator. This is a hands-on opportunity to build a specialized skill set and grow into running our Heidelberg SM 74 press independently. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn a trade, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Learn & Do Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a Heidelberg SM 74 5-color offset press to produce single-, two-, and multi-color work, including large solids, screen tints, line and halftone printing with critical color values and registration requirements.
Perform all make-ready tasks:
hanging plates, examining plates and cylinders for imperfections, checking image positioning, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and register. Make color corrections and press adjustments prior to and during production runs to meet quality specifications. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs and replace worn or broken parts as needed. Carry out periodic preventive maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer. Who We're Looking For Mechanically minded and hands-on — you enjoy working with equipment and learning how things work. Eager to develop expertise in offset printing techniques, materials, and press operation from the ground up. Comfortable working with precision — attention to detail and consistency matter in this role. Willing to learn set-up, adjustment, and routine maintenance of complex printing equipment. Available to train on 1st Shift, full-time, on-site in Monroe, NJ, Monday through Friday. Prior experience in printing or a mechanical trade is a plus, but not required — we will train the right person. What We Offer Hands-on mentorship from an experienced press operator — a real opportunity to learn a skilled trade. A clear path to becoming an independent press operator as you develop your skills.
