Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Concrete Foreman to lead our concrete crew. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations, managing a team of laborers, and ensuring that all concrete projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience and a specialized focus on concrete finishing (flatwork, curbs, slabs, and decorative finishes). You will not only direct the crew but also work alongside them to execute precise pours and flawless finishes.
Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Management:
Direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the concrete crew on job sites. Ensure daily production goals and project schedules are met.
Expert Concrete Finishing:
Lead and perform all aspects of concrete finishing, including screeding, floating, troweling, edging, and jointing.
Forming & Site Prep:
Oversee and assist with grading, setting forms, installing rebar/wire mesh, and ensuring proper elevations and pitch according to blueprints.
Quality Control:
Inspect concrete deliveries for proper consistency and mix design. Guarantee that all finished surfaces meet project specifications and company quality standards.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, walk-behind trowels, vibrators, and other concrete equipment.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Conduct daily "toolbox talks" and ensure the crew utilizes appropriate PPE.
Communication & Reporting:
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and job specifications. Provide daily progress reports, track material usage, and communicate equipment or material needs to the management team.
Mentorship:
Train, mentor, and develop crew members in proper forming, pouring, and finishing techniques to build a highly capable team.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in concrete flatwork and finishing (commercial and/or residential).
Leadership:
Minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or Foreman role managing a crew.
Technical Skills:
Mastery of various concrete finishing techniques (broom finish, hard trowel, stamping, exposed aggregate, etc.). Deep understanding of concrete curing, weather effects on pours, and joint spacing.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform heavy physical labor, lift up to 50+ lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
Blueprint Reading:
Strong ability to read, interpret, and execute site plans and blueprints. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health/Dental/Vision Insurance 401(k)
