Take charge of the entire finishing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards and deadlines. You'll be the go-to expert, driving improvements, leading teams, and ensuring that every piece of work is done right the first time. What You'll Be Doing (And Owning Like a Pro): Manage and coach a team of skilled technicians and mentor them to achieve consistent, top-tier finishes. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain the highest level of quality. Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and implement strategies that drive productivity and profitability. Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure everything is in line with production goals. Lead efforts to implement new technologies and finishing techniques that will elevate the company's capabilities and product offerings.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in finishing or production management within cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing. Strong technical knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and equipment. Proficiency with spray equipment (HVLP or airless systems). Knowledge of wood finishing techniques (staining, sealing, lacquering). Familiarity with paint mixing and color matching. Experience working with water-based and solvent-based finishes. Knowledge of cabinet materials (wood, MDF, veneers). Data-driven approach with experience in using KPIs to enhance performance. Problem-solving expertise with a focus on root cause analysis and effective solution implementation. Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software is highly advantageous.
