Job Description

Summary We are seeking an experienced CutterOperator to join our print finishing (bindery) team in Houston Texas. This role is focused on operating cutting equipment used in the post-press production process to produce finished printed materials such as brochures, catalogs, mailers, and other commercial print products. This position requires 3+ years of hands-on experience operating cutting machines in a commercial printing environment . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain cutting machines Interpret job tickets and production specifications to ensure accurate setup Monitor production cuts to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on cutting equipment Inspect finished products for defects, alignment, and overall quality Maintain production efficiency while meeting deadlines and output goals Work closely with press and bindery teams to ensure smooth workflow Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Cutter Operator in a commercial printing or bindery environment Strong knowledge of cutting machinery and post-press/finishing processes Ability to read and follow job tickets and production instructions Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Reliable, punctual, and strong team player Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle production materials as needed Ideal candidate should have multiple years of experience on Polar cutters.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
