Position:

The Finishing & Fulfillment Supervisor works in concert with the Production Manager and Planning Scheduler to manage Finishing and Fulfillment tasks and people for all projects, ensuring on-time, quality-ready delivery for clients. Finishing covers all hands-on production work performed after printing, including handwork, mounting, weeding, trimming, and laminating. Fulfillment covers everything required to get a finished project out the door, including quality control (QC) inspection, kitting, and packaging. This role owns final quality inspection before shipment and balances hands-on work with planning and coaching, one-third working, one-third planning, and one-third coaching, to keep the finishing team running smoothly and shipment ready.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee Finishing operations:

handwork, mounting, weeding, trimming, and laminating, ensuring output meets specification. Oversee Fulfillment operations, quality control (QC) inspection, kitting, and packaging, ensuring accurate, shipment-ready output. Use Pace and Printflow software to manage jobs through finishing, kitting, and packaging. Assign daily work and balance labor across the finishing team. Own final quality inspection, ensuring all projects meet Supergraphics quality standards before shipment. Oversee and assist as needed to maintain finishing production efficiency. Balance time through working, planning, and coaching to keep the team productive and developing. Train and coach employees on process, safety, and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact with the Production Manager for delays or issues affecting finishing. Monitoring quality of projects as finishing, kitting, and packaging is performed. Ensure staff have the proper tools in place and in good working order, and maintain a safe, organized work area. Communicate workstation capacities and situations that may cause delays to the Production Manager. Manage special or complex projects requiring custom kitting, packaging, or distribution handling. Identify opportunities to reduce rework and improve workflow. Ensure shipment readiness, including accurate kitting, packaging, and labeling for each project. Supervise production personnel as necessary and serve as back up to all finishing tasks.

Decision Authority:

The Finishing & Fulfillment Supervisor independently manages daily department operations, escalating issues that impact customer commitments or production schedules.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position directly supervises 6-8 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education High School or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hours Full time- base schedule is 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday Hours also include infrequent weekends and evenings as dictated by business needs and supervisor.
