Previous supervisory experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.

Performs routine set-up functions on all sheet metal fabricating equipment including shears, punch presses, brake presses, CNC equipment, flanges, U-formers, and related loading/unloading devices. 2. Provides direction to Machine Operators and Set-up personnel by prioritizing production needs and assigning tasks to ensure quality and conformance to specifications of prints. 3. Optimize and deliver raw materials for upcoming jobs, unloading parts from machine and stacks or move parts to secondary operation or staging area. 4. Fill in as Machine Operator and/or Set up if necessary, including the laser operating systems. 5. Work closely with Laser Operators and Manufacturing Engineer to ensure coordinate and optimize cutting programs. 6. Performs frequent inspections on all equipment and materials to identify the causes of errors or defects. Will check conformance of parts to specs. 7. Collaborate with supervisor, operators and set-up personnel by developing new skills and abilities by cross training or outside training opportunities. 8. Will perform employee coaching and will write and deliver disciplinary actions when necessary. 9. Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS 1.

Knowledge of machine controls and ability to set-up and operate machines following all safety instructions. 2. Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, square micrometer, slide caliper, and angle gauge. 3. Ability to distinguish types and gauges of steel and determine if material meets quality standards. 4. Ability to lift parts as required, up to 50 lbs., and the ability to use material handling equipment including forklift, sheet lifter, floor jacks and hydraulic lifting equipment 5. Use Production Dispatch List to follow groups, assist in making sure all groups are closed and properly reported upon completion. 6. Communicate clear and decisive work / job assignments without bias.
