Job Description SUMMARY:

Setup and operate a printing press that prints designs multiple colors on rolls of polyethylene film. Must have a thorough knowledge of the essential duties and responsibilities of the Press Helper and the Flowman as well as those listed below for the Press Operator.

Language Skills Must be able to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company handbook, and procedure manuals. Must be able to speak and write in English effectively when presenting information to supervisors and fellow employees. Mathematical Skills Required to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Essential Physical Demands While performing the duties required of this position, the employee is constantly required to stand for up to 12 hours, walk, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee will occasionally be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more than fifty (50) pounds with assistance or proper equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This role requires the employee to concentrate for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. There is the possibility the employee will occasionally be exposed to high precarious places, hazardous chemicals, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be considered loud. The temperature is not completely controlled and can be considered to be related to seasonal conditions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises up to 2 employees.
