You will be responsible for the configuration, operation, and ongoing monitoring of our flexographic printing machinery to ensure the delivery of high-quality printed products that meet our clients' specific needs. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in flexographic printing or a closely related narrow-web converting field. You should be comfortable working autonomously to manage press setups, execute changeovers, prepare ink systems, mount plates, oversee registration and print quality, resolve technical issues, and document production data accurately. Primary Responsibilities Configure and run flexographic printing systems in alignment with established work orders, technical drawings, and product specifications. Manage the installation and removal of essential press components, including cylinders, plates, doctor blades, and ink reservoirs. Formulate and adjust ink mixtures to ensure all color and print quality standards are consistently achieved. Oversee critical production variables such as registration, web tension, impression, and drying to ensure optimal output quality. Process a diverse range of flexible web materials, including pressure-sensitive adhesives, films, papers, and foams. Perform thorough inspections of finished goods to identify defects, contamination, or registration issues. Utilize standardized inspection tools to verify that all products meet defined quality benchmarks. Resolve common printing challenges to help maintain a smooth and efficient production workflow for the entire team. Maintain precise production logs, material usage records, and quality documentation to ensure operational transparency. Sanitize and organize press components and work areas to foster a safe and efficient production environment. Uphold a clean and orderly workspace to help ensure the safety and productivity of all team members. Report any equipment, material, or quality concerns to management immediately to ensure timely resolution. Contribute to ongoing process improvements and equipment maintenance to support the growth of our production capabilities. Required Qualifications At least 3 years of practical experience operating flexographic printing or similar narrow-web converting machinery. Proven ability to independently manage the full lifecycle of press setups, adjustments, and production runs. Proficiency in mounting plates, managing registration, and maintaining high print quality standards. Experience working with roll-fed substrates, including films, liners, tapes, and pressure-sensitive adhesives. Solid understanding of web handling, tension management, and the identification of print defects. Strong mechanical aptitude to facilitate machine adjustments and resolve routine operational issues. Ability to interpret complex work orders, specifications, and technical drawings effectively. High level of attention to detail to ensure consistent quality output for every client project. Dependable attendance and a proactive approach to working within a collaborative manufacturing team. Preferred Experience Operation of narrow-web, single-color, or multi-color flexographic presses. Printing on specialty substrates like release liners, films, or adhesive-backed materials. Expertise in anilox selection, ink viscosity management, and color matching. Experience with roll-to-roll production and the handling of tension-sensitive materials. Proficiency with various measurement devices and color standard verification tools. Background in quality-regulated or ISO-controlled manufacturing environments. Experience providing mentorship or training to junior operators. Physical Requirements Ability to remain standing while operating machinery for the duration of a shift. Capacity to lift and maneuver heavy materials, tooling, and ink containers as needed. Proficiency in safely operating material-handling equipment and managing large rolls. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Visual acuity to detect color variations, registration errors, and print defects. Ability to utilize necessary personal protective equipment and handle chemicals safely.
