In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser engraving equipment to produce high-quality engraved products. Your expertise will contribute to the precision and efficiency of our fabrication processes, ensuring that each project meets strict quality standards. Based on our government contracts, US Citizenship is required. Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate laser engraving machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to accurately produce engraved items. Program laser engravers using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. (Lightburn and Gravostyle 9). Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and document all machine activities. Handle materials with care, utilizing forklifts or other materials handling tools as needed to move raw materials and finished products safely within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify engraving accuracy and consistency. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, personal protective equipment, and adherence to factory safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience operating laser engraving machines or similar CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in Fanuc controls, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses is highly desirable. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), CAD design software such as SolidWorks or similar programs. Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication processes, machining techniques, and materials handling procedures. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise engraved products. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, welding, assembly line operations, and quality control practices is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for maintaining high standards of precision. Warehouse experience or familiarity with factory safety protocols is advantageous.
