The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating printing presses, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Position Overview The Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Heidelberg printing presses to apply inks and coatings to sheeted products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements while maintaining safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Heidelberg printing presses to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications, color standards, and production requirements. Inspect materials and finished products to verify dimensions, board specifications, print quality, and compliance with quality and food safety standards. Lead and support pressroom personnel while maintaining efficient workflow, production accuracy, and a safe, organized work environment. Record production data, material usage, and job information in the ERP system while performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and quality assurance procedures and policies. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience working on or around a printing press in roles such as feeder, press helper, or press operator. Experience operating Heidelberg printing presses preferred. Strong mathematical and measurement skills. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production instructions. Experience using computerized ERP or production tracking systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish color variations and maintain print quality standards. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
