Job Description

Priority Group, a family-owned commercial printing and marketing services company, is seeking an experienced Press Operator to run our Ryobi 3302 2-color offset press and Halm envelope jet press for short to mid-run commercial print jobs. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain the Ryobi 3302 2-color offset press for daily production runs Set up, operate, and maintain the Halm envelope jet press for envelope printing jobs Perform makeready on the Ryobi 3302: plate hanging, ink mixing/matching, register adjustment, and blanket/roller setup Load, feed, and register envelopes on the Halm press, adjusting for stock weight, size, and flap style Monitor sheet/envelope feed, registration, and color consistency throughout each run; make on-the-fly adjustments as needed Perform routine press maintenance — roller washups, blanket changes, and daily/weekly upkeep per manufacturer specs on both presses Troubleshoot common press issues (feed problems, ink/water balance, registration drift, envelope jams) Read and interpret job tickets, proofs, and color specs to meet customer requirements Log production data accurately in EFI Pace Coordinate with prepress and finishing/bindery to keep jobs moving on schedule Maintain a clean, safe, and organized press area Qualifications 2+ years running a small-format 2-color offset press (Ryobi 3302 or comparable) Experience operating an envelope press (Halm or comparable) strongly preferred Solid understanding of ink mixing, color matching, and registration Ability to read job specs, proofs, and color targets accurately Mechanical aptitude for routine troubleshooting and maintenance Reliable, detail-oriented, able to hit production deadlines
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
