Lead Manual Screen Printer Marushka is seeking an experienced Lead Manual Screen Printer to join our production team in Grand Haven. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong manual press skills who can take ownership of print quality, troubleshoot production issues, and help guide other printers. We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of professional manual screen-printing experience. More experience is preferred, but not required. About Marushka Founded in 1971, Marushka is a Michigan-based art and apparel brand with a long history of screen printing. We print primarily our own apparel and products for retail, ecommerce, and a large wholesale network, with very little outside contract work. Our production is completed on manual presses only, and our artwork is created by human artists, not AI-generated. Our shop is clean, organized, collaborative, and focused on craftsmanship. Responsibilities Operate and set up manual screen-printing presses Register and print multi-color jobs Print spot-color and CMYK process designs Work confidently with water-based inks Produce consistent wet-on-wet printing Mix inks and make color adjustments Troubleshoot registration, ink, screen, and production issues Maintain print quality throughout production runs Help train and support less experienced printers Communicate production needs and issues with shop leadership Maintain a clean and organized work area Help improve shop workflow, quality, and efficiency Qualifications 5+ years of professional manual screenprinting experience Strong multi-color registration skills Experience with water-based inks Experience with wet-on-wet printing Experience with CMYK process printing desired but not required. Experience mixing inks, adjusting colors, and managing recipes Strong troubleshooting and quality-control skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Good communication and organizational skills Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
