Press Operator Details:
Direct Hire position $20.00 to $27.00 /annually Full Time work available First ShiftKey Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor advanced printing presses, including German and Japanese models, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
- Perform regular preventative and corrective maintenance on press machinery, including timely roller changes and necessary adjustments.
- Lead and collaborate with a second team member, overseeing the press crew to achieve production goals and maintain a high-quality output.
- Manage material requisition, ensuring all necessary supplies are available and meet proper specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality checks, including regular scans and visual inspections, to guarantee superior print quality and color accuracy.
- Maintain precise control over ink and color mixtures to ensure consistency across all print jobs.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any press-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Assist in the training and development of new or less experienced team members, promoting best practices in operation, safety, and quality.
- Actively promote and demonstrate principles of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction in all daily activities.

Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a printing department, specifically as a Printing Press Operator.
- In-depth technical knowledge and practical experience with off-set lithographic processes and machinery.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating both German and Japanese printing presses.
- Proven ability in quality inspection and quality assurance practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for press equipment.
- Ability to effectively lead and coordinate a small team.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a Team Lead or supervisory capacity within a printing or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis for process optimization or quality control.
