Job Description

The Screen Printing Press Operator is responsible for producing high-quality printed apparel by following the Prodigy Production Standard. This role owns the setup, operation, quality, and efficiency of the printing process.
The goal is simple:
Print every garment like the approved production sample. The Press Operator plays a critical role in protecting the customer experience by producing consistent, accurate, and quality products before they move to the next step in production. ResponsibilitiesPress Setup & Production Review work orders, production proofs, and job specifications before starting production. Verify garment style, color, print location, ink requirements, and special instructions. Set up and operate screen printing equipment, including automatic and manual presses. Maintain proper registration, print quality, color accuracy, and production consistency. Troubleshoot basic press, ink, and print issues to minimize downtime. Quality Ownership (QC Save) Approve the first print before continuing production.
Monitor every job for:
Registration accuracy Print placement Ink coverage Color consistency Print defects Stop and communicate issues when quality standards are not being met. Ensure only quality product moves to the next department. The Press Operator owns the quality of everything they produce. Equipment & Workspace Standards Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs. Properly handle screens, inks, garments, and production materials. Follow all safety and production procedures. Team Collaboration Work closely with Press Assistants, Dryer Operators, QC, Production Art, and Production Management. Communicate job status, challenges, and production needs. Support Prodigy's production flow by preparing work ahead and helping set the next team member up for success. Qualifications Experience operating screen printing equipment in a production environment. Understanding of screen printing fundamentals, including registration, inks, and print quality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot problems and communicate effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
