Job Summary
DPP is seeking an Assembler II for an opportunity with our client in the Defense & Space Manufacturing industry.
Work location: Onsite in Madison, AL
Work shift: Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:30PM
Duration:
3 months
Terms:
W2 position
Work authorization: US Citizen
Responsibilities:
- The Assembler II will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience.
- Experience with soldering (J-Standard certification preferred), surface mount (SMT) packages, or wire harness construction.
- Ability to work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and, or, work instructions.
- Experience working with microscopes for precision assembly.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience assembling and troubleshooting Radio Frequency (RF) and/or Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) systems.
Experience in rework and modifying dense SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards and prototype cables.
Proficiency in using microscopes for assembling small mechanical parts.
Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) such as SAP, Solumina, or Tableau.
Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), FOD (Foreign Object Damage), and
ITAR/AS9100
regulations.
