Rework & Fabrication Technician Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturer in the McCalla, AL area, is seeking a Rework & Fabrication Technician to join their team! This is a great opportunity for an experienced fabrication or maintenance professional to work in a manufacturing environment with competitive pay and opportunities for growth.

Rework & Fabrication Technician Job Summary:

Pay:

$21.63-$27.81 an hour, BOE

Shift:

o 1st Shift

• Study and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and sketches
• Assemble tools and materials needed for fabrication and assembly projects
• Take and interpret measurements, verify specifications, and alter dimensions as needed
• Resolve assembly and production issues
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
• Ensure parts are properly fitted and secured
• Build prototypes and assist with product testing
• Build and modify guard rails, rack stands, and other various items throughout the plant
• Repair bent and damaged racks and other plant equipment

Rework & Fabrication Technician Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Welding certificate OR at least 2 years of welding experience that includes MIG and Stick welding
• Forklift certification or experience operating heavy equipment
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar fabrication, rework, assembly, or maintenance-type role
• Must be comfortable using a variety of power tools, including drills, impact guns, and saws
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measures, and manuals
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be comfortable working with computers, machines, and motion-control robots
• Must be able to lift heavy objects during the fabrication and assembly process
