Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This entry-level role focuses on mechanical assembly of components used in complex HVAC systems, including basic hardware installation and simple assemblies. You follow build documentation to complete tasks accurately, perform pull-tests to validate assembly integrity, and use torque tools and other hand tools to ensure all work meets quality standards. Responsibilities Perform entry-level mechanical assembly of components according to build documentation and work instructions. Complete simple assemblies and install hardware such as screws, washers, and nuts with attention to detail and quality. Interpret and follow basic build documentation to ensure assemblies meet specified requirements. Perform pull-tests to verify the integrity and reliability of assembled components. Verify and use appropriate tooling, including torque tools, to meet required specifications. Handle basic wiring tasks with a fundamental understanding of wiring principles. Use small hand tools safely and effectively during the assembly process. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production operations. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a production and assembly environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills Basic understanding of mechanical assembly processes. Ability to perform simple assemblies and install hardware such as screws, washers, and nuts. Basic understanding of wiring and ability to perform simple wiring tasks. Ability to read and follow build documentation and work instructions. Proficient use of small hand tools in an assembly environment. Ability to perform pull-tests and verify tooling as directed. Comfort using torque tools to meet specified requirements. Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production or manufacturing environments is helpful. Prior exposure to assembly work, including mechanical or electrical components, is an advantage. Comfort working with wiring and hand tools in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new assembly techniques and follow established processes. Ability to work consistently on a structured first-shift schedule. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a non-climate-controlled production and assembly facility on a structured first shift schedule: 5:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with an additional 8-hour shift every other Friday. The environment is focused on building complex HVAC systems, using small hand tools, wiring tools, and torque tools as part of daily tasks. You spend most of your time on the production floor, collaborating with other assemblers and technicians to meet output and quality targets. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of High Ridge, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
