- Job Description
- This role fabricates and assembles a variety of assemblies and supporting hardware by applying established assembly techniques and using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and related equipment.
The assembler reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and other documentation to determine the correct methods, sequence of operations, and dimensional and finish specifications, while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting high standards of quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
- Responsibilities
- + Assemble and calibrate production parts in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.
+ Locate and interpret assembly drawings, ATPs, specifications, and work instructions to determine requirements and sequence of operations.
+ Complete all required documentation accurately, including travelers, pull sheets, and shipment forms.
+ Lift and handle materials and test manifolds, including items weighing at least 30 pounds, in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants according to specified formulas and process instructions.
+ Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts using templates, hand tools, and power tools as required.
+ Ensure all assembled products meet customer specifications and requirements, including shipping details.
+ Support and help achieve quality, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and cost goals.
+ Use E10 transactions and job-related dashboards, including part and job trackers, to manage work and inventory accurately.
+ Assemble multiple products within a production cell or across multiple lines, as indicated by the training matrix.
+ Inspect all final products to verify compliance with customer requirements, including shipping details.
+ Assist the team in evaluating trends in labor standards, costs, and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
+ Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the company.
+ Complete other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
+ Remain current with and complete all required training as assigned.
+ Follow corporate EHS policies and all department-, occupation-, and task-specific safety protocols, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Essential Skills
- + 12 years of manufacturing assembly experience required; 3+ years preferred in a regulated industry such as aerospace.
+ Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
+ Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a production or assembly line environment.
+ Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for drilling, reaming, grinding, sanding, trimming, and finishing parts.
+ Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic assembly issues.
+ Ability to meet deadlines, plan work effectively, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
+ Basic computer skills, including use of production systems and dashboards such as E10 transactions and job trackers.
+ Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
+ Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
+ Experience supporting or participating in continuous improvement activities.
+ Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds as needed, use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for extended periods, and reposition the body to perform various tasks.
+ Willingness to complete any required pre-employment screening.
+ Willingness to complete medical examinations required by law in relation to the physical work environment and occupation-specific activities.
+ High School diploma or GED.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly aerospace manufacturing, is preferred.
+ Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Comfort working with primers, adhesives, sealants, and other assembly-related materials.
+ Ability to interpret and follow detailed work instructions, travelers, ATPs, and specifications with high accuracy.
+ Strong attention to detail for inspecting final products and verifying compliance with customer requirements.
+ Ability to adapt to working on multiple products in different production cells or lines based on training and operational needs.
+ Interest in ongoing skills development through on-the-job training and assigned coursework or training programs.

- Work Environment
- This position operates in a production environment that involves mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and various machines and equipment.
Work includes reading and following blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions while handling parts, materials, and test manifolds. The role requires manual lifting activities (up to 40 pounds by one individual), use of stairs, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, and repositioning the body as needed to complete tasks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with corporate EHS policies and task-specific safety protocols. The standard schedule is a 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Thursday, with a shift differential of $2 per hour. Training is conducted on 1st shift before transitioning to the regular 2nd shift schedule.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $19.
00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
