Full Job Description Job Summary:
This is an opportunity to make an important contribution to a successful, small manufacturing company in Carson, CA. The pump assembly technician will help produce quality products in an efficient and safe manner while using a variety of light machinery and tools.
Key Job Tasks:
Assembly, Testing, and Packaging Hydraulic Press Light duty machine (no experience necessary)
Job Requirements:
Fluent in English Valid CA Drivers License Ability to effectively work individually in a team environment Responsible with good attendance
Physical Requirements:
Lifting/Carrying/Reaching:
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 70 lbs. Frequent lifting and positioning of materials and tools during assembly processes.
Repetitive Motions:
Repeated use of hand tools and manual dexterity for small parts assembly. Ability to perform tasks involving repetitive motions with hands and wrists (e.g., tightening screws, operating tools).
Bending/Twisting:
Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching during assembly. Ability to kneel, crouch, and squat occasionally as part of the assembly process.
Standing/Walking:
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a 10hr shift
Vision Requirements:
Good vision (corrective lenses/glasses are acceptable) for close-up tasks and to identify small parts, and ability to perform visual quality checks.
Hearing Requirements:
Good hearing, with or without correction, for verbal instructions, alarms, or signals related to safety and quality control.
Pushing/Pulling:
Ability to push or pull materials or equipment on the production floor when necessary.
Fine Motor Skills:
Ability to use hands to manipulate small parts and tools accurately and efficiently.
Job Qualifications Desired:
Experience with mechanical assemblies and use of various hand tools and air tools Competent with basic shop mathematics Be able to use shop measuring and inspection tools The job may include work with a lathe, hydraulic press, vertical mill, angle grinder
