Job Description

Assembler 1

Location:
Fremont, CA Schedule:

Monday

•Friday 1st

Shift:

5:00 AM

•1:30 PM 2nd

Shift:

1:30 PM

•10:00

PM Pay Rate:

$20

•$23 DOE.

Experience Required:

No prior experience required (High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred)

Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production:

Build basic mechanical/component assemblies according to written Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) and verbal directions while meeting target cycle times.

Quality & Inspection:

Inspect raw parts and finished goods for defects, perform basic testing, and apply required part markings before packing items for shipment.

Inventory & Recordkeeping:

Keep clear records of production quantities, track completion times, and maintain inventory of parts and tools used during assembly.

Safety & Maintenance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workstation by practicing 6S principles at all times.

Communication:

Immediately report equipment malfunctions, part defects, or material issues to leadership.

Skills & Qualifications Tool & Process Basics:

Basic familiarity with standard hand tools and materials (metals, plastics, purchased hardware).

Instruction Following:

Ability to read, understand, and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.

Basic Aptitude:

Elementary math skills, basic computer literacy, and willingness to learn standard inspection instruments.

Teamwork & Flexibility:

Reliable punctuality, willingness to cross-train in other departments, and adaptability to assist where needed based on business demands. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to alternate between sitting and standing at variable workbench heights for periods ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours throughout the shift. Capability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. over short distances. Capability to push/pull supply carts requiring up to 15 lbs. of force. Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and protective gloves at all times.
