Southland Sensing Ltd. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level Production Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This is a clean, indoor, primarily seated assembly position working with small parts and components. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality work. Previous manufacturing experience is not required. We provide the tools, work instructions, and hands-on training needed to learn the position. What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Perform basic mechanical assembly of small parts and components Work with small components requiring good hand dexterity and attention to detail Cut and prepare wires and other materials for assembly Use basic measurement tools, including tape measures Follow written work instructions and verbal directions Visually inspect parts and completed assemblies for workmanship Fold boxes and prepare product packaging Seal plastic packaging bags and prepare materials for production or shipment Maintain a clean and organized workstation Assist with other light production and facility tasks as needed Most assembly work is performed while seated at a clean indoor workstation . What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Enjoys hands-on work and has good mechanical aptitude Has good hand dexterity and is comfortable working with small parts Pays close attention to small details Takes pride in craftsmanship and quality Can understand, remember, and follow verbal and written instructions Can visually inspect small components and assembly details Keeps their work area clean and organized Is dependable and maintains excellent attendance Works well with others and treats coworkers with respect Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn Can speak, read, and understand English sufficiently to follow work instructions and safety requirements Is comfortable remaining seated for most of the workday Experience & Training This is an entry-level position . Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required . Southland Sensing provides all necessary tools, product-specific work instructions, and training. Once trained, employees are expected to complete assigned work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
