The Opportunity… Working under general supervision, the Assembler will follow schematics and other instructions in using hand tools and power tools to assemble a variety of components and subassemblies into finished products. The Assembler also inspects assemblies as required to ensure proper functionality and no defects. You will make an impact by… Following production/assembly instructions, bills of material, schematics/diagrams and work instructions Aligning, fitting and assembling component parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates Inspecting parts for defects and verifying performance of assemblies/finished products using test instruments such as test fixtures, voltmeters and written procedures Working at different work stations as production needs require Cutting metal, painting and general cleaning of work area The talent we want to inspire has.. High School diploma or equivalency required, and 2 (two) years' experience in assembly work preferred. Must be able to fluently read, write and speak English and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, bills of material, work instructions and procedures Ability to perform acceptable through-hole and SMT soldering and de-soldering Skilled at identifying components via component identification and color codes Ability to perform high level fault isolation for troubleshooting Must be able to detect visual discrepancies in materials and distinguish colors Required to properly and safely utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble products Proficient with computers and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Basic math skills are essential Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, twist, push, pull, lift up to 40 lbs Capable of following documented processes as well as verbal instruction Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
