With a rich history rooted in Silicon Valley since 1975, Promex offers a fully integrated US-based facility dedicated to solving intricate component assembly challenges for the medical device and biotech markets. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-precision electronic components using surface mount technology, reading electrical schematics, and following detailed blueprint specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the production of advanced medical and biotech devices, ensuring quality and efficiency at every step.
Position Summary:
Perform any or all of the following functions in the manufacturing assembly on components, subassemblies and rework environment using work instructions and associated tools.
Essential Duties:
  • Perform wide range of assembly operations on components or subassemblies
  • Perform soldering of electronic components
  • Modify or rework assembled product
  • Follow verbal and written instructions in completing assigned tasks
  • Observe ESD and Safety practices Other Duties & Responsibilities
  • Stop product from moving to next operation due to quality problems
  • Report potential problems to management
  • Make suggestions for improvements
  • Contribute to solution of problems
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to read and write English. H.S. Diploma, working knowledge of IPC-610 and other industry Workmanship Standards. Must be able to work with high power microscopes. The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Must be a US Citizen or permanent residence status
Key Competencies:
Requires 2-4 years experience in assembly operations, soldering, or rework.
Preferred Skills:

Pay:
$23.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
