Job Description

We're a small manufacturer in Westlake Village. We're looking for one experienced assembler to run our production area. This is a hands-on shop role for someone who already knows their way around an underpinner. You'll work independently in the production area, with shipping right next door. What you'll do Cut and assemble frame and panel mouldings on a miter saw and an Alfamacchine U-300 underpinner Patch, hand sand, and tack cloth assembled pieces to a clean finish Run quality control on your own work before it moves to shipping Keep the shop and production area clean, tidy, and organized What we're looking for Hands-on experience with a picture frame underpinner. Our U-300 is pneumatic with a dual-function foot pedal, running V-nails from 5mm to 15mm. If that reads like a normal work day to you, please reach out. Confidence on a miter saw and a genuine commitment to safe operation Self-starter who can hold a standard without someone looking over your shoulder Organized, steady, and detail-focused. The finish is the product. At least 18 years old At least six months in a workshop or production environment The work environment Small, calm shop environment. You'll be working solo in the production area most of the day, with shipping adjoined and the owner on-site. Frequent standing. Frames run about 1-5 lbs; occasional moulding bundles up to 20 lbs. All safety equipment is supplied and its use is required, no exceptions. You'll be running a chop saw and pneumatic equipment, so our shop is drug- and alcohol-free during working hours. A post-offer screening is part of our hiring process. Schedule and pay Two days a week, Monday through Friday. We'd prefer Monday and Thursday or Monday and Friday, but we're flexible for the right person. $20 to $25 per hour, depending on your experience on the machine. We'll review at 90 days, and once you're consistently clearing quality control at speed, we can get flexible on which days and hours you work. California paid sick leave included.
