Job Description

Position Summary:
The Axle Builder is responsible for building all axle types in accordance with axle sheet specifications in a timely and accurate manner. In this role, you will also assist with the assembly of pre-packaged parts when axle building is completed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Building axles timely and accurately Responsible for the quality and quality control of every axle built & sold. Allocating axles to the corresponding axle racks, including customer sample axles, completed axles, rework axles, and abandoned axles. Ensuring axles are accompanied by all other sold parts i.e., U-Bolt Kit Managing FIFO of axle beams and components
Position Requirements:
Requires H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Previous welding experience is beneficial but not required. Forklift experience is beneficial but not required. Must be able to read a tape measure accurately. Must be able to perform basic math calculations including but not limited to converting fractions to decimals and adding and subtracting decimals. Possesses a mechanical aptitude. Must be extremely detailed oriented and be able to multitask. Must work well under pressure and have a sense of urgency. Must be willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills. Communicates and writes effectively; reads, comprehends, and follows verbal and written instructions. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within departments and throughout the company. Must possess superior customer service skills. Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct. Adaptability and flexibility to provide exceptional service to all customers.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
Work Environment:
Usual office, warehouse and manufacturing conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, noise, and temperature fluctuations. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week with rotating Saturdays with overtime. Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Position responsibilities are subject to change.

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
