Large Assembly Technician Position Type:
Full-Time.Temp-to-hire Starting pay:
$18.90/hour + 3pm - 11:30pm. Monday - Friday Summary We are seeking a reliable Assembly Technicians to fill open positions in Farmington, CT. In this role, you will assemble large-scale mechanical components using various hand and power tools. You will be responsible for following assembly instructions, using basic computer software to track work, and maintaining a high standard of quality and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities- Perform mechanical assembly on large units using precise measuring devices and assembly tools.
- Safely operate manual and power tools, applying up to 50 lbs of torque.
- Transport components and finished assemblies across the floor using pallet jacks.
- Use computer systems to review build specifications, track job progress, and log inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation. Required Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong understanding of manual assembly and basic mechanics- Experience operating the following tools:
- Hand drills and rivet guns
- Screwdrivers and allen wrenches
- Socket wrenches, vise-grips, and pliers
- Wire strippers and tape guns
- Ability to read measuring devices accurately and navigate basic computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 7 hours per day and handle physical assembly tasks. Safety We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment.- Company provided
