Job Description

Job Description BMS Aerospace is seeking a 1st & 2nd Shift Precision Assembly and Soldering Technician to join our growing aerospace manufacturing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys working with intricate assemblies requiring patience, precision, and a high level of attention to detail. BMS Aerospace is a company that has been serving the Aerospace, IGT, Defense, and Commercial industries for over 40 years. With our continued growth, we are expanding our assembly operations and seeking individuals who are interested in building mission-critical aerospace hardware in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a full-time technician to support precision soldering, assembly, part preparation, and general manufacturing operations on 1st & 2nd shift. The ideal candidate has strong manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with small components and detailed assembly work. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Perform precision soldering of intricate assemblies per work instructions and quality standards Assemble components using detailed manufacturing documentation and engineering drawings Prepare parts for soldering and brazing operations including cleaning, fitting, and fixture setup Conduct visual inspections to verify workmanship and product quality Perform manual bending and forming operations on tubing and small components Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for manufacturing operations Record job data and complete production documentation accurately Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area Assist with other manufacturing and shop support activities as workload requirements dictate Work closely with supervisors and engineers to meet daily production goals
Requirements and Qualifications:
1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with soldering, assembly, brazing, electronics assembly, jewelry making, model building, or other precision handwork preferred Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to read and understand technical drawings and written instructions Basic math and mechanical skills Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods High school diploma or equivalent required
