Position Summary Assemblers are responsible for identifying parts, reading process sheets/bills of materials and locating parts, and assembling the parts together. They will install basic software and test the assembly. In this role, you will be a hands-on individual contributor in Manufacturing and work as part of the Operations reporting to a Production Team Lead and Production Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize power and hand tools to complete assemblies. Perform assembly of sub-assemblies, PCB boards, associated wiring, and hardware to make final assemblies. Read, interpret, and follow process sheets, diagrams, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Print and apply labels according to process sheets. May position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Maintains cleanliness of production area and equipment. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Visually inspect assembly for obvious damage, non-conformance, cleanliness, component mounting and installation. Perform all job functions and work assignments as directed by Team Leader or Management. Support other areas of manufacturing as needed to support cross-training. Basic knowledge of soldering wires and cables, as required. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic knowledge of electronic components and Static Discharge. Basic knowledge of mechanical components, such as sheet metal and hardware. Able to understand and operate a computer in a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to use microprocessor programming tools to flash program assemblies. Understanding of mechanical assembly. Able to follow and understand production documents such as process sheets and work instructions. Able to operate semiautomatic machines and related equipment. Understand basic electronic test procedures. Solid communication skills. Strong hand/eye coordination. Strong attention to detail Strong team oriented & willing to be cross trained Physical Requirements Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and various forms of instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Physical and manual dexterity and the ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
